Marriage Registration Office In Gandhinagar .Marriage registration is a compulsory registration of marriages as per the notification of Central and State Government of India. Marriages in India should be registered under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 or the Special Marriage Act of 1945. Failing to register the marriage makes it illegal. Some of the important documents needed for registration of a marriage are: application forms duly filled in and signed by both the parties, attested copies of Age proof (10th mark sheet /12th mark sheet/Birth certificate/School leaving certificate/Passport/Driving license), attested copies of Address proof (voter ID/Ration card/Copy of Electricity Bill or Telephone bill/Driving License/Passport), two passport size photographs, each, of both the parties and marriage invitation card.

You will also need:

Age Proof: (Any of the 2 documents)
• Birth Certificate
• School Leaving Certificate.
• SSC/HSC Certificate.
• Driving License having Date of Birth and Address.
• Passport copy duly Notarized

Address Proof: (Any of the 2 documents)
• Ration Card having name of the Groom.
• Election Identity Card.
• The Copy of Electricity Bill received on name of Groom
• Driving License having Date of Birth and Address
• Company Letter Head, Rent Agreement or Bank Passbook

2 Passport Size Photographs of the Bride and Bridegroom

3 witnesses along with their 2 photographs (each) and residential proof as mentioned above.

Signature of Priest / Acharya who has solemnized the marriage and his full Name Address of the Priest / Acharya

Marriage Invitation Card, incase it is not available you can draft an application on the Rs. 100/- stamp paper stating that no marriage invitation card was printed and affix a Marriage Photograph.
