What are the required documents to apply –
=*= Couples have to attach the copy of their residence / address proof for both on which they are able to use the copy of ration card, voter id card, passport, electricity or phone bills, house tax receipt etc. The address proof is compulsory for both of parties.
=*= Both of parties have to attach the affidavit with the application form to get the marriage certificate in Delhi. Couples have to take the affidavit separate for both husband and wife.
=*= Both need to attach the copy of their birth proof to show their age. For the date of birth proof applicants can use their birth certificate, X class certificate or any other document on which the date and place has mentioned for birth and has taken through the authorized department.
=*= Couples have to give their 2-2 passport size photos (for both husband and wife separate) and one photo together which must be taken at the time of marriage occasion. The marriage time photo will be the proof that both are now husband and wife.
=*= Applicants also have to attach the copy of their marriage invitation card on which the date, place and other information has been mentioned for occasion. This is not compulsory if it is not available or the registration process holds after a long time.
=*= In case of divorce have to attach the copy of order of divorcee and in case of widow or widower applicants have to attach the copy of death certificate for their husband / wife. Applicants have to attach the photocopy but have to carry their original certificate at the time of submitting application form.
=*= If the one of the both applicants (husband or wife) has been converted to the Hindu Jain, Budhist or Sikh religions then need a conversion certificate from the authorized person or by the priest who solemnized their marriage. This certificate is applicable for the marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act.
=*= If the couples belong to the out of India (foreign national) then have to attach the original copy of NOC (No Objection Certificate) which they can get through the concerned country High Commission. This has to attach with the application form of the marriage certificate for Delhi.
=*= If the marriage was solemnized in any Mandir, Masjid, Gurudwara, Church or any other religious place then the certificate must be required from the priest or authorized in-charge person who holds this occasion to get the marriage certificate.
=*= Couples have to attach the copy of their ID proof in which they can use their income tax card / pan card, aadhar card, voter id card or any other official document which must be taken through the state or central government. You must have to download the identification certificate which is available through the revenue department official page.
NOTE – Applicants have to carry their all the original documents for the verification process and all the papers must have to attach after attesting through any of the central / state government Gazetted Officer.
